Section III - Receiving/delivering of containers/cargoesGeneral dispositions All containers and/or cargoes will be considered received by NCC Seaport Terminals and under its responsibility and custody, as from the moment that all documentation has been processed and its personnel has signed, stamped the correspondent E. I. R. or C. I. R. for reception. The before mentioned responsibility will end as from the moment that the containers or cargoes have been loaded onto any transport mean. Reception of export containers/cargoes All export containers or cargoes will have to be received a the Seaport Terminals not later than 24 hours prior to vessel's arrival, duly accompanied by all necessary documentation. At the moment of reception of containers or cargoes, NCC Seaport Terminals have the right to inspect all cargo and/or containers and inform the pertinent authorities if any suspicion exists as to the veracity of the description of the goods in the accompanying documents or their degree of security or origin. Costs for such inspection are to be paid by the issuer of the Bill of Lading or its agents prior to the loading of containers or cargoes onto vessel or otherwise release from the terminal. Delivery of import containers or cargoes Delivery of import containers or cargoes will be on bookings made with at least 24 hours in advance. Bookings will be accepted for period of two hours and failure to present the necessary documentation in time will automatically cancel the bookings made. Import containers/cargoes will only be delivered to consignee's against presentation of the delivery order issued by the issuer of the Bill of Lading or its agents and of the receipt of payment for any charges due. The Seaport Terminal operator may, at its own discretion and according to the working load, change the sequence of delivery at any time and delay deliveries up to a maximum of 4 hours after booked times. Weighting of containers/cargoes All containers and/or cargoes may we weighted on reception at the terminal and weights differing by more than 5 % of the weights declared in the respective documentation will be immediately informed to the pertinent authorities and the issuer of the Bills of Lading or its agents. Inspection of containers/cargoes Containers and/or cargoes will be checked as to their apparent order and conditions on arrival to the Seaport Terminals. Any remarks in this context will be mentioned in the respective E. I. R. or C. I. R. and NCC Seaport Terminals will not be responsible for any loss or damage mentioned in these documents or arising as a result of the damages or losses mentioned in them. |
