Section V - Storage of temperature controlled containers

Energy supply

NCC Seaport Terminals will receive, handle, store and verify temperature controlled containers, whether integral system or clip-on, (clip-on units to be supplied by the Line), supplying energy of up to 440V/50Hz

Requested information

The issuer of the Bill of Lading or its agents will inform NCC Seaport Terminals at least 24 hours prior to the delivery of such equipment, the following details of these special containers

  • Container and seal number
  • Ship, voyage and date of arrival
  • Port of load and port of discharge
  • Required temperature settings
  • Contents
  • Emergency numbers in case of temperature differences
  • Any other information that may be considered relevant

Connecting/disconnecting

The connection to power supply of these units will be exclusively made by NCC Seaport Terminals personnel following the instructions received from the Line or its agents.

Temperature registrations

All containers have to be equipped with temperature registering units and discs will be supplied by the Line or its agents.

 

Monitoring

During the storage period in the NCC Seaport Terminals, the personnel of said company wil check and monitor temperatures at regular as agreed periods or by remote control. IF and when necessary reports of the checking will be issued to Shipping Lines or its agents exclusively, and registering charts or discs will be changed. NCC Seaport Terminals will only issue copies of any of the above mentioned documents, whilst originals will remain in the archives of NCC Seaport Terminals for up to 2 years and be destroyed thereafter.
