NUTEP (Novorossiysk)

In December 2002 National Container Company and the Delo Group started construction of the container terminal on the basis of NUTEP (Novorossiysk Nodal Transporting and Forwarding Company) in the port of Novorossiysk. The terminal went live and start handling containers in April, 2004.

• Total area 27 ha
• Quay length - 280 m
• Depth alongside berth – 11.5 m
• Yard storage capacity – 8,000 TEU
• Reefer storage capacity - 220 plugs
• Throughput capacity - 170,000 TEU per year

NUTEP is equipped with:

• 3 STS Post-Panamax cranes (Liebherr, Kocks) with lifting capacity up to 50 tons
• 4 RTG cranes (Konecranes) with lifting capacity up to 50 tons

The list of NUTEP’s customers includes world leading shipping lines:  MSC, Maersk Line, China Shipping, X-Press CL.

The expansion and development program of NUTEP approved in 2007 envisages total investment of $140M and is provided for gradual equipment replacement as well as yard storage and berth extension, which will allow to increase the terminal capacity up to 500,000 TEU per annum by 2014.
